1 - Plan.

If you have ever lived through a tile or marble project and were well on your way to recovery, you may have thought you would like to keep a piece or two of the tile that was used for the installation and use it as a hot plate to protect your counter top.
This is a great idea, but there are some things you should be aware of for your family’s safety.
Some tile materials explode when they reach a certain temperature!
Mostly the problem lies with tile made from cement or clay that has not been baked in a kiln.
Do not use these as a hot plate, they can actually explode and cause serious damage to the nearest victim.
