Tips For Surviving The Back To School Shopping Daze

Soon as the August long weekend is over, most parents, especially the moms, are faced with the both fun and dreaded back-to-school shopping daze. Moms, you know what I’m talking about. Depending on the age and sex of your child, you end up either dragging or being dragged throughout the mall searching for ‘the’ outfit, school box, sneakers, or backpack.
For those of us who have children young enough who really don’t care what they wear, and are just thrilled when we come home with a Thomas the Train lunchbox, or Dora sneakers, enjoy it while you can, because it doesn’t take long before you are faced with ‘the’ shopping experience to end all shopping experiences - shopping with a teen.

It’s hard to believe that just 25 years ago home schooling was almost unheard of. Today there are millions of children learning at home, and the number increases each year.
Why are so many families choosing to teach their children at home? Does it require a special degree or something? Can anyone do it? These are the questions that will be answered here.
Some families choose home schooling because it gives the parents control over what the children are taught. This might offend some people, but it is what our country was founded on: freedom. If the government is allowed a monopoly in education they will be free to completely control what children are taught. If carefully considered, that is a frightening thought.
