Getting Prospects To Contact You

Are you tired of buying lead package after lead package (thousands of leads) and constantly coming up with a 2-3% or lower conversion rate? Many times, conversion rates that look like that can mean that the cost of your leads, and the work it took to get those conversions could cost way more than what you’ve made on those leads.
But without leads, you cannot succeed in an online business, so that could only mean it’s either your product, or your emails/calls right? Not necessarily. Most money-making programs out there are legitimate, whether you decide to go with MLM, direct marketing, gifting, etc. and as long as there are people making money with that program, then you know that there is money there. A sign of a good sponsor is one who will provide you with the resources to succeed, such as email templates to send to you leads, and call scripts to loosely go by, so if your sponsor provided you with this, then it is most likely not your emails/calls. If you DO NOT have a good sponsor, I suggest you join a program under a sponsor that will help mentor you to success (you can verify it by email or phone, and use your best judgment… you should be able to tell who is being honest about really helping you out). Even if you are very experienced, it doesn’t help having a good sponsor to at least network with…as an effective member of your overall team.
So if it’s not your primary business, not your emails, and not your calls, then what could it be? The answer is simple. It’s your LEAD SOURCE. Re-evaluate where you are getting your leads from, if you are purchasing them. If you have a sponsor that I spoke of earlier, ask them where they buy their leads, and how they “work them” effectively. After you find a reliable lead source that fits into your current business budget, note it, use it, but don’t rely SOLELY on it. You should combine paid lead generating sources with the most powerful lead generating source, which I will speak of next.
Ironically, the most powerful way to get leads is also a very free way to get leads. Using an effective lead capture page, that clearly states that you will call them upon receiving their information, generates the highest quality leads available. These leads did not sign up for something and forget to uncheck the box that said ‘I want to receive offers from third party sources regarding new products and opportunities” or something similar. These are not leads who specifically requested “information” on starting a home business. THESE leads went to YOUR website, and requested that YOU contact them personally to tell them more about what YOU have to offer. You can see why these leads are of the highest quality, convert the highest, and never have to be paid for—as long as you find a free way to generate traffic to your website. But even if you had to pay for advertising to drive traffic to your website, wouldn’t you rather be paying for that traffic that will generate the highest quality leads, than pay for leads that are of lower quality (and most likely will level out to be the same price as what you are paying for advertising).
I’ll explain how to generate free traffic to your lead capture page in another article, because it is a very in depth process. For now, just focus on the fact that you don’t have to rely solely on lead packages that you purchase from somebody else. You can do this to some extent to supplement your conversions; however, you primary method of obtaining leads should be to generate them on your own, through your very own lead capture page. Answer this question: which lead is better? One you got from somebody else, requesting “general” information somewhat related to what you are promoting? Or a lead you generated from your website, who requested SPECIFIC information on what you are promoting?
