Exactly, how important it is for a website to have enormous, steady traffic? Think of your website as a movie theater. It has something to offer but without moviegoers, it’s nothing. It will not be able to generate profits for you. That’s how important traffic is to websites. Here are the 5 easy steps to generate traffic so your website will be a box office hit!
1. Link building. Search the internet for websites that share your topics and exchange links with them. The idea behind it is, you can drive their visitors to your site by putting a link to these websites. In addition, you will have higher page ranking on search engines when you have numerous quality inbound links.
2. Forum posting. Join forums that are frequented by your target market. Join these sites and interact with your potential clients. You can post comments or answer their questions to establish your expertise on a particular field. Since blatant advertisements are not allowed on most forums, you can pitch in your products only when it will solve a member’s problem. Aside from advertising your products, you can also gain quality inbound links through forum posting. Most forums allow their members to incorporate their website’s URL on their profile and on their post. So each post grants you one inbound link.
3. Blogging. You can also market your website through the use of web logs. You can post relevant articles about your site and the products you are offering. You can then pitch in your site for further reading.
4. Advertise. Identify the websites where your potential clients can mostly be found. These can be ezine sites, forums, social networking site, or bookmarking sites and advertise. This is an effective way to market your products since you are advertising to people who are most likely to buy from you.
5. Article marketing. Write quality articles that are relevant to your website and submit them to online article directories. This will not only establish your credibility as an expert on your field, but it can also pull up the page ranking of your site because of numerous inbound links that you will get for each submission.
