Get Your Blog Started - Learn From The Expert!

Every day, more and more people are using the internet to find products and services. Every day, more and more businesses are utilizing the power of the internet to grow their businesses, gain more customers, and sell more products. You’ve probably already read a blog or two and feel like your business would benefit from this new media- we call it Web 2.0, and many feel like it will replace the traditional website within a few years.
Regardless of that, the blog can powerfully help your business craft their online presence. If you’re making money online, wouldn’t you like to start making more?
Now that you’ve decided to blog, you must decide how you will go about it. You can take the free blog option or the paid blog option. Many free blogging services exist out there. Just do a quick search for free blogs. Blogger (Google’s blogging service) is quite easy to learn and use. Wordpress is another that is slightly more difficult to install but much more easily customized than Blogger.
One word of caution with the free blogs is this. Since you haven’t paid for their blogging service, you might have difficulty finding good customer support. I’ve heard of businesses who have had their blogs totally removed from some of these free blogging platforms for one reason or another. Unless they’d backed up their posts, all their data was GONE! Imagine blogging religiously for a year or more, posting once or twice a week, and then having all that great content disappear!
The paid blogging services like Typepad -my favorite- work hard to keep their clients. They are constantly improving their services and adding new features. More and more “plug-ins” or third-party programs are being developed for these paid blogging platforms, which allow the user to add all sorts of great interactive and useful content and functionality to their blogs.
Also, you can add Google’s Adsense to your blog and make money from it, just for writing a blog that people want to visit. Some of the free blogs don’t allow this.
Typepad, like many of the paid blogging services, has several levels of service you can purchase. Pick one that’s right for you, and get started!
The sooner you start blogging, the sooner you start drawing more traffic to your website. And we all know what more traffic means- more profits!
