How Can I Distribute My E-Books and Fulfill Orders?

Before you tackle e-book distribution and order
fulfillment, you have to decide if you are going to use your e-book as a
promotional tool and give it away for free or you are going to charge for your
e-book and use it in your product funnel of info-products for passive profits.
If
you are going to give it away, you can have it on your website as a free offer
in exchange for someone signing up to be on your mailing list. The valuable
content in the e-book and the promise of the solutions to the reader’s problem
will entice the reader to leave their name and e-mail address in exchange for
the free e-book. At that point, you would not care if they shared it with
friends and colleagues, as a matter of fact, you would encourage them to do so.
In order to benefit from giving this away for free and having others read it,
you will have links imbedded in your e-book that will take the reader back to
your website or squeeze page or sales page where you are selling other
products. So your free e-book now becomes a lead generator for future sales.
You
can also distribute your e-book by giving it to joint venture partners to use
in their campaigns, where they are selling a product and need bonuses. Your
e-book can be a free bonus for your joint venture partner. In order for the
customer to get your bonus, they need to go to your website and enter their
name and e-mail address. Now they have your book with embedded links where they
can buy more products from you in the future, and now you have their name and
e-mail address to add to your mailing list so you can continue to stay in touch
and market to them in the future.
Obviously,
another way to distribute your e-book would be to sell it directly from your
website or sales page. You will have to have your web master place your e-book
in a downloadable format, so when a customer purchases it, they will get access
to it immediately. For web masters, this is a simple task to accomplish. Also
you will need to have e-commerce set up, which includes is a shopping card and
a merchant account. You can do that by checking with other Internet marketers
and see what they are using. One of the most popular programs that fulfills all
your e-commerce needs is 1ShoppingCart. Check them out.
After the customer’s credit card payment clears, they are
taken to a “thank you” screen that includes a link to where they can
download your e-book. This way, you don’t have to be concerned about delivering
the e-book to your customer after the sale. It’s all automatic. You won’t need
to mail them a hard copy book or even email them the file.
Another
way to distribute and fulfill e-book orders is to have your e-book listed at
other sites like Amazon and e-book directories. EcoBrain, for example, lists
e-books that have some connection to environmental issues. There are a lot of
niche specific as well as general e-book directories you can look up. These
other sites will do all the fulfillment for you and pay you a percentage of
revenues. All you need to do is help them drive traffic to those sites. They do
some of their own marketing, but you can always help. As a matter of fact, if
you don’t even want to get involved with your own e-commerce , just go directly
to directories and let them do the fulfillment.
