I Am Not As Tanked As You Think I Am - Therefore!

Sometimes Think Tanks get a bad name, but whose fault is that, indeed sometimes scientists and the scientific community gets a bad name too, but why? There are many Think Tanks that often embed specific data in reports and leave out essential information that is counter to their proposed mission or political side of a debate. It is time for truth and perhaps no greater time to bury the hatchet and come clean. No, I am not picking on one side or the other, rather both or all and that means looking in my own mirror as well.
Consider all the chaos and controversy out there these days - things such as the question; Will there ever be peace in the Middle East? It seems unlikely, but does that mean we should not try? How can nations get along when one side sponsors a proxy war against the rest? Syrian Forces are often giving rides to the infiltrating terrorists to Iraq.
Saudi Arabia made mention of the fact that Syria is not doing enough to stop the militants from entering the nation and even went so far as to state they knew they were often assisting such. The United States has followed up by re-classifying the Iranian Guard Militia as a Terrorist Group due to their Jihad style indoctrination and suicide bombing training. My gosh, will there ever be peace, can there ever be peace? If we are truly honest with ourselves the answer is probably no, does that mean we should not put our best foot forward to try? Think on this.
Can we use the internet to help us understand each others cultures better? What about the problems with the Internet itself, as it is so commercialized? From Slashdot.org -
Most of the times I have a problem with a Web page loading slow or freezing temporarily, I look down at the status bar and see that it’s waiting on an ad server, Google Analytics, or the like. It seems to me that on popular Web sites the bottleneck is overwhelmingly on the ad servers now and not on the servers of the site itself. In my opinion, we need a better model for serving ads — or else these services need to add more servers/bandwidth. Are there any studies on the delay that 3rd-party ad servers are introducing, or any new models that are being introduced to serve ads?
It seems that this opinionated author makes a decent point indeed, hard to debate the reality, but the Internet maybe the best tool we have and therefore we ought to try and make it work to reach out and discuss things with our fellow man. After all what if we all got along and thus did not have to worry about someone sneaking an Atomic Bomb into our nation via a cargo container? Sure we now have RFID crime busting sensors and schemes to catch illegal shipments of whatever, but what if there simply was no such problem?
How far is mankind going to take their archaic weaponry, revenge and anger? Into space? Is that the future of humans in space - space colonies sabotaging each other, killing, pirating and such, why can’t we get beyond human wars? No I am not anti-military, every nation has the right to protect itself and if they do not, it will eventually be at the expense of their people, this is foretold and will remain a truth until the world grows up and the loop of violence is stopped. Think on this.
